2021 Novella-in-Flash Team

The 2021 Novella-in-Flash Award is being judged by Sophie van Llewyn
and run by Stepahnie Carty and Jeanette Sheppard.

Sophie van Llewyn was born in Romania, but now lives in Germany (and writes in English). Her debut Bottled Goods was longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction 2019 and the Republic of Consciousness Prize. In 2020, Sophie was a co-editor of the NFFD Anthology, Root, Branch, Tree.

 

Stephanie Carty is a writer of all lengths and a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. Her short fiction has been widely published including her novella-in-flash Three Sisters of Stone, winner of Best Novella in the Saboteur Awards. She is represented by Curtis Brown.

 

 

 

Jeanette SheppardJeanette Sheppard’s collection Seventy Percent Water won the 2020 Ellipsis Zine Flash Fiction Collection Competition. Her flash fiction appears in numerous literary magazines and anthologies, including the Bath Flash Fiction Anthology, Reflex Fiction, Mslexia and four National Flash Fiction Day anthologies. One of her flash fictions pops out of a vending machine in Canada. She is currently redrafting her novella-in-flash that was Highly Commended by Ellipsis Zine in their 2019 competition.
