{"id":2466,"date":"2024-12-01T11:00:54","date_gmt":"2024-12-01T11:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nationalflashfictionday.co.uk\/?p=2466"},"modified":"2024-12-01T11:00:54","modified_gmt":"2024-12-01T11:00:54","slug":"2025-nffd-anthology-microfiction-competition-are-open-for-submissions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalflashfictionday.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/12\/01\/2025-nffd-anthology-microfiction-competition-are-open-for-submissions\/","title":{"rendered":"2025 NFFD Anthology &#038; Microfiction Competition are OPEN for submissions!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>National Flash Fiction Day is OPEN for submissions for our annual Anthology and Microfiction Competition!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How is it December already?\u00a0 Even though summer might feel far away, we&#8217;re already busy preparing for the UK&#8217;s thirteenth annual <strong>National Flash Fiction Day<\/strong> which we&#8217;ll be celebrating on <strong>14 June 2025<\/strong>.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve opened submissions to both our Anthology and Microfiction Competition projects and will be reading submissions from now until 15 February 2025.\u00a0 We are open to work from anyone and everyone, all around the world.<\/p>\n<p>For the <strong>2025 Anthology<\/strong>, we&#8217;re looking for flash up to <strong>500 words<\/strong> on the theme of\u00a0<strong>SEASONS<\/strong>.\u00a0 Your work will be read by editors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalflashfictionday.co.uk\/index.php\/2025-anthology-editors\/\">Karen Jones and Cheryl Markosky<\/a>.\u00a0 Selected work will be published in our 2025 print\/ebook anthology and be considered for our Editors&#8217; Choice Awards which come with a \u00a350 prize.\u00a0 You can read our submission details <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalflashfictionday.co.uk\/index.php\/anthology\/anthology-submission-guidelines\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For our <strong>Microfiction Competition<\/strong>, we&#8217;re looking for flash of up to <strong>100 words<\/strong>.\u00a0 There is <strong>no theme<\/strong>.\u00a0 Your work will be read by judges Sudha Balagopal, Rebecca Field, James Montgomery and Sherry Morris.\u00a0 Winners and runners-up will receive cash prizes and be published online and in our print\/ebook anthology.\u00a0 Full submission details can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalflashfictionday.co.uk\/index.php\/competition\/competition-submission-guidelines\/\">here<\/a> and you can read more about our judges <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalflashfictionday.co.uk\/index.php\/2025-microfiction-judges\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Our Anthology and Microfiction Competition teams look forward to reading your work!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Flash Fiction Day is OPEN for submissions for our annual Anthology and Microfiction Competition!
